Every counsellor, psychologist and therapist at Nightingale is selected for their warm nature, talent, attitude, confidence, generosity of spirit and, above all, their commitment to their clients and the counselling profession.
Our team have specialisms in different areas of therapy, allowing us to offer a broad range of services and ensure that your counsellor will be effective and meet your needs. The information gathered during your initial assessment will determine the appropriate counsellor for you, with the expertise to work with your specific difficulty.
Each counsellor working with individuals is qualified to Diploma and Doctorate level by Hull, Strathclyde and Dundee Universities or the British Psychological Society. All of our Associate Counsellors are highly qualified and have vast experience from Private Practice, NHS and large Counselling Agencies.
All of our couple counsellors have at least ten years’ experience working with couples and are qualified to Diploma level validated by Napier University. They are accredited and qualified with Glasgow Marriage Counselling, Relationship Scotland, Relate and Scottish Marriage Care and have trained for at least three years. Every counsellor works with couples, same sex couples and families. When engaging the services of a couple counsellor, it is vitally important to feel secure in the knowledge that the couple counsellor has their roots and expertise and experience in couple counselling.
The relationship between counsellor and client must be based on trust, empathy and respect. A counsellor is trained to listen not to judge or blame which brings a great sense of relief to clients who are seeking answers and resolution.
At Nightingale, we are all governed by a code of ethics and practice of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and continue to seek professional supervision and participate in ongoing professional development in order to keep informed of updated methodologies and practice.
We aim to ensure that every client feels safe in the knowledge that they have found a professional organisation that understands the challenges and concerns they face when they decide to seek assistance. When you contact Nightingale we will respond immediately to all enquiries and can guarantee an appointment within 48 hours. Contact us on 0141 353 9373, Email us or complete our online Enquiry Form.
