Parenting is a lifelong journey, that’s for sure. Sometimes on the journey your children break your heart, fill you with overwhelming love, and just sometimes bring you to the point of despair – all in the same day!

As well as bringing us joy, children can pose a challenge that can leave parents feeling exhausted, exasperated, and desperate. Every parent works towards the same goal – to help nurture a child into a balanced, happy, loving young adult who is ready and equipped to take on the challenges of living and thriving in our complex, modern world. That’s all you need to do. Easy, right? Not on your life!

It can be difficult to keep up with the constant change of our children and their needs. They seem to grow so fast and just when we start to feel like we finally get them they change again. If it is any consolation, you are most definitely not alone. The good news is that I can help! I work with parents to improve their parenting skills and help them to resolve issues or challenges that may arise.

Understanding a child’s brain, their development, and how you can optimise your parenting can help you to meet the needs of your child, help them to build confidence, and remove anxiety around parenting.

Parenting – Finding the answers to your questions

I have worked extensively with children of all ages and I have many years of experience, firstly in childcare and then in psychotherapy. I have a vast amount of knowledge and experience that will help you find the answers that you are looking for. If I can’t help, then rest assured that I will be able to direct you to the correct resources that will help you.

Our parenting service isn’t counselling. The aim of this service to give you space to talk about the challenges you are facing and then I can then use my expertise in this area to help you find the best route forward. Unfortunately, there is no ”one size fits all” approach, but there is always something that can be done to make things better and families happier and calmer.

By having this space to talk, our clients can really put things into perspective and give them clarity over a situation. My knowledge is invaluable as I am often able to provide my clients with that missing piece of information that suddenly makes things clearer. I call it the ‘Aha moment’.
