After Florence has chosen a counsellor for you, she will remain a constant point of contact for you throughout every stage of the counselling process. She will ask you for feedback after your first meeting with your counsellor to ensure you are comfortable with them. Initial Contact

When we secure your appointment in the practice diary you will receive an email from the Nightingale admin department confirming the session fee, your appointment time, a mobile number for your counsellor. The payment method and the terms and conditions.

It is really important that you confirm by email to florence@thenightingalegroup.co.uk that you have received the information and the terms and conditions. If you are paying by bank transfer please ensure you include the reference you will be using as we need this information to track your payments.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel an appointment, we must insist on 48-hours notice. If we get this, we will be able to reallocate the appointment to another client as we have a very busy diary and often have a short waiting list. This also ensures counsellors are earning and not losing money. If we don’t get enough notice, the counsellor is left with an empty slot and no payment for that session. If this happens, we will expect you to pay for the cancelled session.

First Session

Every client is unique, therefore during your first session, your counsellor will ask questions to help them properly assess your situation and gain an insight into how you will work together to achieve a good outcome. The counsellor will then design a support plan tailored to suit your needs. During this session, we would encourage you to ask questions to get a full understanding of the process.

Second Session

After your first session, you can arrange your next appointment with your counsellor directly if you are comfortable continuing to work with them. The counsellor will then place your appointment into the practice diary. Please contact your counsellor directly by mobile to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

    How To Make A Payment

    The process in our busy practice is to ensure that payments for all appointments are confirmed and paid 48-hours prior to your first session. We ask you to make sure all payments, moving forward, are paid 48-hours prior to your session to secure your appointment in the practice diary. If you prefer a monthly invoice this can sometimes be arranged with Florence.

    Our preferred method of payment is by bank transfer. The banking details can be found on the terms and conditions document which will be attached to your first email. However, if you find it easier to pay by card, you can let us know and our finance team will arrange a time to take your payment over the phone.
