Therapy for Men

The outdated attitude that men should resolve their own issues has moved firmly into a place in the past.

Thankfully, over the last few years, more and more men are engaging and experiencing the benefits of talking to a professional counsellor and not bottling up their feelings. We offer counselling services with male and female counsellors.

We all need someone to talk to who is non-judgemental, listening, and honest in their responses. When you talk to a friend, they will often end up talking about themselves and their issues, which is not allowing the focus to be you.

Testimonials

When I stepped through the door at Nightingale’s, my self-esteem was somewhere between my socks and the pavement. I had some really destructive habits and traits that were unknown to me but were causing absolute havoc in my personal and professional life. My counsellor quickly identified the negative patterns and was able to articulate them in a way that gave me many “light bulb moments”. It was great to be able to openly talk and honestly be listened to, but on top of this, I came away with life skills that I will be able to use whenever times get tough. I wouldn’t like to think about what would have happened if I didn’t have my time at Nightingale’s.

Individual Counselling

Moving forward with counselling

Quite often men will talk about their issues with their barber, their local barman, seek solace in social media, addiction, infidelity, or extreme sport, just to try and find some relief none of which really gets to the core of issues that may be bothering them. Counselling will help you to find a resolution and a way forward in a more productive way.

The main issues men present in counselling:

Depression
Anxiety
Stress
Addiction
Anger
Guilt
Sex addiction
Sexual issues
Abuse
Sexuality
Infidelity
Difficult decisions

Male and Female counsellors available.

“Happiness is an inside job. Don’t assign anyone else that much power over your life.”
“If you want to be treated with respect, respect yourself first and others will follow. You inform others how to treat you.”

“Today I refuse to stress myself out about things I cannot control or change.”
